Membership
Membership in a local Alpha Chi Omega alumnae chapter is a great way to continue our lifetime of sisterhood. The perks of alumnae life are endless: new sister friends, networking and volunteering opportunities, chances to connect with local college area chapters - and it gives you a much-needed break from life’s responsibilities to enjoy yourself for a few hours! Plus, compared to your collegiate experience, annual alumnae dues are much lower!
Speaking of dues, we have several membership levels, the most popular being the Lyre Tier. This is $51.49 (including fees!) for the entire year - what a bargain. Let’s think about just a few things in L.A. that are MORE expensive than Gamma Theta Gamma’s annual dues:
A tank of gas
Weekly trip to the market for a family of two
Two movie tickets
Parking (anywhere)
Dinner with friends at a mid-range restaurant
A Costco membership
Decent seats at a concert, musical/play, or the Hollywood Bowl
One UCLA or USC football game ticket
Where Do My Dues Go?
Gamma Theta Gamma is a non-profit organization, and our finances are carefully budgeted and allotted each June for the following programming year. Our expenses include:
Annual Alpha Chi Omega National dues
Los Angeles Area Alumnae Panhellenic membership dues
Donations to the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation
Collegiate support of two local chapters: Alpha Psi (UCLA) and Kappa Phi (LMU)
Collegiate support of “long-distance” chapter: Epsilon (USC)
Administrative costs
National Convention Delegation Costs
This year we are also raising money to celebrate our Diamond Jubilee (75 years!) in 2027
Your dues are put to great use and help sustain our chapter. And of course, we ALWAYS welcome donations!

Olive Tier - $0
Membership is complimentary collegiate graduates during their first year out of school. .
Lyre Tier - $51.49
This is our most popular membership tier! This is for every sister who has been out of college for 6 years or more and is not yet eligible for a complimentary 50 Year + membership.
Pearl Tier - $102.99
This highest membership level includes a $50 donation. Your extra dollars will go to GTG initiatives and programming, as well as the 75 year celebration!
Scarlet Tier - $28.83
This membership level is for young alumnae who are within five years of graduation, current grad school students, and sisters who live more than 2 hours outside of Los Angeles County lines,
Diamond Jubilee Tier - $77.24
This membership level includes a $25 donation. Your extra dollars will go to GTG initiatives and programming, helping us continue to excel as a chapter!
Hera Tier - $0
This membership tier is for long standing Gamma Theta Gamma sisters who have been members of Alpha Chi Omega for 50 or more years.
